Newcastle Wedding Industry Professionals Bridal Extravaganzas have the largest number of attendees with over 1700 brides, grooms, family and friends attending our January 2010 Expo.
We proudly support HMRI with a percentage of gate takings donated from every function.
20 years young, NWIP was formed as a co-operative, non-profit organisation subject to the rules of the Department of Fair Trading. All income and expenditure is subject to auditing on an annual basis, with reports submitted to Fair Trading.
This organisation was the brainchild of a group of dedicated wedding suppliers who with foresight could see that there were many small businesses involved in the wedding industry who could not afford the cost that is charged by some other expo organisers who do so for profit.
Directors are elected on an annual basis from the membership, by way of nomination and vote by members. Directors so not receive remuneration for the extensive work and time taken to run the organisation and all the expos.
All members are equal and have equal say. Comments and feedback are regularly sought and taken into consideration after general discussions at meetings.
General Information
New members are encouraged to contact Directors and submit applications forms to join.
Regular meetings are held and minutes are circulated to all members to keep them informed. At these meetings members are encouraged to give details of their own businesses.
Networking evenings are organised so members can meet, exchange business cards and information.
Members are encouraged to refer clients to other members of the organisation.
